On 30 January 1925, a violent Atlantic storm struck the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway as a train crossed the spectacular Owencarrow Viaduct near Creeslough, County Donegal. A tremendous gust of wind derailed two carriages, claiming four lives and leaving many others injured.

This RareGer heritage card tells the story of one of Donegal's most moving railway tragedies. Through historic imagery, memorial inscriptions and the dramatic landscape of Owencarrow, it honours both those who were lost and the remarkable bravery of the railway workers and local people who rushed to help.
