For over half a century, the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway—affectionately known as The Swilly—served as the lifeline of County Donegal. From Londonderry to Letterkenny, Buncrana, Milford and Creeslough, its steam trains carried passengers, livestock, mail and memories through some of Ireland's most spectacular landscapes.
