Full product description:On 29 December 1937, the Constitution of Ireland, known as Bunreacht na hÉireann, came into force.

Approved by the people of Ireland in a referendum earlier that year, it replaced the 1922 Constitution of the Irish Free State and established the constitutional structure of the modern Irish state.

The Constitution set out the powers and responsibilities of the President, the Government, the Oireachtas and the courts, while also setting out fundamental rights and principles of the State.

It remains an important part of Ireland's constitutional history and a lasting document in the story of Irish self-government.
