Cú Chulainn is one of the greatest heroes of Irish mythology. Born to Lugh and Deichtine, he became a legendary warrior whose courage and skill were celebrated throughout Ulster.

Trained by the warrior Scáthach, Cú Chulainn became renowned for his strength, speed and mastery of combat. He earned the name Cú Chulainn, meaning The Hound of Culann, after a remarkable encounter with the fierce hound of the warrior Culann.

The card tells the story of some of his greatest adventures, including the Cattle Raid of Cooley, when he stood alone against the armies of Connacht to defend Ulster.

It also remembers his legendary single combats, his terrible battle fury, his loyalty and courage, and the tragic circumstances of his death.
