Full product description

George Bernard Shaw – Ideas That Changed the World celebrates the life and literary legacy of George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950).

Born in Dublin, Shaw became an internationally celebrated playwright, critic, essayist and social thinker. His sharp wit and fearless writing challenged conventional ideas and explored subjects including society, politics, education, inequality and human behaviour.

Among his best-known works are Pygmalion, Man and Superman, Major Barbara, Saint Joan, The Doctor’s Dilemma and Androcles and the Lion.

Shaw was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925, recognising his contribution to literature and his distinctive ability to combine humour, ideas and social commentary.

This RareGer design celebrates Shaw as more than a writer — a voice for change whose questions and ideas continue to encourage independent thought.

From Dublin to the world stage, his words remain part of Ireland’s extraordinary literary heritage.
